Required state-approved six-hour continuing notary education class in order to become a new notary or renew after July 1, 2005. Once you have taken the six-hour continuing education class, then every four years thereafter, you are required to take a three-hour refresher class to renew your license. Every four years, you must re-do your live fingerprint scan and take the notary exam.
The live seminar includes a continental breakfast and a gourmet lunch. You may take the California Notary exam and have your live fingerprint scan done the same day. (*See below details when you register.)
*California Notary Exam Info: If taking the exam after the live seminar, a fee is not included in the price of the seminar. Bring a separate $40.00 personal check, money order, company check, or cashier check made payable to the Secretary of State. This is to be given to the State Proctor at the time of the exam and not mailed with registration. Cash is not accepted by the State Proctor.
* 2” X 2” color passport picture can be taken for $10.00 at the seminar.
* Live fingerprint scan info: If you would like to have completed at the seminar (required for all new and renewing {new law as of January 2008}), the cost is $75.00.
